Math Duck is a free browser platformer where arithmetic and fast movement go hand in hand. Each round gives you a math equation to solve by collecting the right number on the board, then grabbing the key and reaching the exit door before 10 seconds are gone. No download needed. The game runs right in your browser, so it works at school or at home wherever browser games are allowed.

What is Math Duck?

Math Duck is a 2D puzzle platformer by Misc.261 Games, released in September 2022. The core loop is simple: read the equation displayed in the top-left corner, find the number on the board that completes it, walk over that number to collect it, then pick up the key and escape through the door. Touch the wrong number and the run ends immediately. There are 18 rounds in total, and the difficulty climbs through both harder math and trickier level layouts.

Controls for Math Duck

Movement is handled with the keyboard only. There is no mouse input during a round.

Hazards and what kills your run

Two types of hazards appear across the 18 rounds. Learning both early saves a lot of frustration.

HazardHow it works
Gray spikesFixed spikes on platforms or floors that kill on contact
Falling red spikesSpikes that drop from above at set intervals
Wrong numberCollecting a number that does not match the equation ends the run instantly

How the timer works

Each round has a 10-second countdown, but it does not start until you move. That pause is your planning window. Take a second to read the equation, spot the correct number on the board, and trace the safest path before you commit. On later rounds, the board gets more crowded and the temptation to rush gets real. Resist it.
